Appointment no. 1 Health history is recorded and treatment alternatives are offered along with preliminary impressions. Appointment no. 2 Precise denture extension and border seal are established and a final impression is taken with a custom made tray Appointment no. 3 Jaw relations are recorded including vertical dimensions and jaw movements. Teeth size, shape and colour are also made at this stage Appointment no. 4 Try -In stage for which you teeth are fixed with wax and tried in to assess the look and feel. Appointment no. 5 Dentures are inserted and home care instructions are given Appointment no. 6 (Final) A visit is made after one week ideally to ensure comfort and make necessary adjustments Although the above steps are ideal, some cases may be completed in shorter time and others may require further appointments as needed. The most reliable way of getting dentures is to have them physically made by the same person who takes your impressions.
