Hello, my name is Megan and I have recently moved to Orangeville from Barrie with my fiance, Anthony.
My plan is to open a home day care starting for the beginning of October. My reason for this is because I need some time to complete some minor home renovations and settle in. I have 5 years of childcare experience as a preschool teacher, toddler teacher as well as school-age children. I am currently taking the apprenticeship ECE program through Loyalist College part-time. I have worked for SEEDS Childcare in Barrie (which I just recently quit to move to Orangeville) and at Oromocto Daycare in New Brunswick. I provide an environment where your children will feel safe, loved and most importantly happy. I offer daily stimulating activities to further enhance development in all areas (fine motor, cognitive, gross motor, sensory, creative, social...), weekly themes, celebrations, nutritious meals and much more. My home is smoke-free, close to schools, parks and in a great neighbourhood. I can provide references and receipts if requested. My prices are as follows: Infants (6-18mo) -- $35 per day Toddlers (18mo-2.5 yrs) -- $30 per day Preschoolers (2.5-4 yrs) -- $25 per day Kindergartens (4-5 yrs) -- $20 per day School-Age (5-10 yrs) -- $15 per day I am First Aid and CPR trained (my licence expires in two years). There are two very friendly and extremely gentle dogs in the house whose shots are up to date. Roxy is a 5.5 year old lab/weimaraner mix and Charley is a 9 month old miniature schnauzer/yorkshire terrier mix. I will be supplying the morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. The menus will be available to bring home and follow the Ontario Food Guide. I have neighbours who feed the local wildlife peanuts, so we are constantly finding nuts and the shells in our yard. I have spoken to the neighbours about stopping the peanuts, but they did not want to do so. Due to that, I do not feel comfortable accepting any child who had any severe allergies to peanuts.
