Diva BootCamp was established in the summer of 2008 by Laura Lee Lewis and Meg Callan.
Home to Sylvan Lake, Alberta, both women have extensive musical training in voice and piano, are singer songwriters themselves, and teachers of the vocal performance craft founded in "The House of Music" teaching studio. Their goal was to design a program to help young girls find their voice and develop an unshakable confidence to last them a lifetime. Diva BootCamp is a summer music program that offers vocal training, performance coaching, camaraderie, and a great deal of confidence-building when it comes to learning how to work your stage and perform in a group setting. Its high-energy fun-filled atmosphere teaches important performance skills not only applicable to the arts but also to life in general. Furthermore, with the addition of a recording session and photo shoot, each girl receives a souvenir CD to capture the memories — and her voice — for years to come. If you like to sing, and you like to learn, and you're not afraid of a little hard work — come on out to Diva Boot Camp!! Musical Theatre is another exciting summer camp instructed by the lovely Laura Lee Lewis and Meg Callan Here we challenge both boys and girls to get to know their Characters! Drawing from the teachings of Stanislovsky's "Method Acting" these budding young stars will be encouraged to find their motivation! Exploring basic improv and body language - movement through games and activities will be the platform used to help you find your character. Then, after a week-long of intensive fun-filled rehearsing, the final product will be a full-scale production! Lights, Music, Stage Tech and Design, Costumes, Props — it's time to shine!
