Welcome to Calm Waters Birth Doula!
My name is Jessica Walker, but everyone calls me Jess. The first time I heard the word "Doula" was over 10 years ago. My daughter was born and my life was forever changed. Shortly after her birth, I became a certified doula with DONA International. I saw this time as a rare opportunity and ability to relate to these women. I was able to guide them through their labour and birth experience, having just witnessed my daughter's birth. My son was born two years later and I was hooked on being a mom and a doula. During my years of being a doula, I was only able to do so on a part-time basis. Now, life has granted me the opportunity to re-certify and turn my business into a full time career. I am following my dream!
