Why “Forward”? Forward motion in the horse creates balance which is reflected in the regularity of the tempo, rhythm of the steps, and calmness. Forward motion is also a metaphor for overcoming challenges and achieving balance in a person’s life. Forwardness implies purpose and direction. Forward Equestrian and Wellness Centre's mission is to advance an integrated, service-based, equestrian and wellness centre of exceptional quality focusing on equestrian activities and evidence based equine assisted therapy and learning. We serve the greater Victoria area and beyond and are located at Braes Mhor Farm, only 20 minutes from Victoria. Since our establishment in 2009 we have provided high quality, dependable and safe services including: 1. Forward Braes Mohr Equestrian Services – lessons (dressage, jumping, western, and natural horsemanship), camps, clinics, parties; 2. Forward Equestrian and Nature Jr. Kindergarten; 3. Forward Equine Assisted Therapy; and 4. Forward Legacy Luistano Breeding and Promotion Program. Rebecca Phillips is the CEO. Her personal background in psychology and behavior intervention, and early and rapid success with equine-assisted therapy, in combination with several decades of study with internationally recognized classical dressage master Frank Grelo, adds significantly to Forward Equestrian and Wellness Centre’s reputation.
