Mission Statement: To provide opportunities for a higher quality of life for Deaf people while preserving and promoting their language and culture. Our policy is that the Deaf have priority and are the main focus of all activities. The Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf has classrooms, meeting rooms and a gymnasium that are available for rent. They have lots of programs for children and adults who are deaf. They also have programs for the hearing family members, sign language lessons, etc. They run camps every summer for deaf children so they can enjoy summer activities such as canoeing, basketball, camping and hiking. The general public can register to take sign language courses as well, the fee is very modest, and all goes towards the Centre.
