Family Nexus is a new drive agency in Edmonton and area designed with the purpose of providing transportation and assistance to those residents who cannot travel by themselves. We know there are tremendous barriers to seniors and people with special needs in accessing the community, one of these being assisted transportation. Our mission is to provide a service to help overcome these barriers that will enable more involvement in the community. We currently have one full time driver, and two part time drivers and plan to expand as the demand presents itself. Our services include but are not limited to; assistance from the door, to the appointment and assistance back to the client's door. We can also help with grocery shopping, recreational outings, or social events. We can even run errands. We service all rural and city areas and we are available immediately. Family Nexus focuses on safety first. We are fully licensed and Insured with coverage up to $2 Million liability. We also have the Public Passenger Endorsement (Passenger Hazard) 6C as required by Alberta Transportation. At Family Nexus, all drivers hold Class 4 drivers licences as well as valid First Aid and CPR certificates and all Drivers have appropriate background checks for working with vulnerable people. We provide a more personal service than taxi cabs, providing our clients with door to door service and our rates are lower than other similar companies.
