River East Transcona School Division is the second largest school division in Winnipeg, with 42 schools in the east and northeast areas of the city, serving about 16,300 students. We have approximately 2,400 educators and support staff to meet the individual needs of these students.
River East Transcona is a dynamic school division committed to providing relevant, progressive educational programming and supportive services in a safe, stimulating learning environment. We care about and respect students because parents and the community entrust them to us. Our aims are to provide students with the education, guidance and services they need to learn and progress to the fullest extent possible. We do so through committed, talented staff; fair and consistent rules; open communication; attitudes of inclusion; a foundation of solid values; and an exciting, full curriculum.
