The business is independently owned and operated by Doug and Lorie Adams. Doug’s decision to open his own funeral home is based on three beliefs: people deserve the funeral choices that respect their values and honour a life lived; people require compassionate, caring professional service; and finally, each funeral should reflect the ideals and personality of the deceased.
Our funeral home offers a relaxing atmosphere for the families we serve, the friends and relatives that come to visit during the public visitation and services. Our convenient location, large parking lot and warm inviting interior make the Adams Funeral Home a unique funeral provider in Barrie and surrounding area. From the time you enter the doors of the funeral home you will be greeted and treated with warmth and respect. It is an honor for our staff to assist every person who visits the funeral home. The visitation suites provide the comfort and atmosphere of a family living room and yet provide the accommodation of large gatherings. The chapel provides ample room for any size funeral or memorial gathering, along with a family suite off of the chapel area. We hope that our tasteful decorating and comfortable furniture will make the experience of visiting our funeral home less stressful. With large windows, natural lighting will flood into the common areas and provide a soothing feeling and help reduce the stress of visiting a funeral home. Our building is designed to provide barrier free access for all who visit. We also offer Hearing Assist for the hearing impaired. The main floor is level off of the parking lot with access to the second floor by elevator. All door ways are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and motorized scooters.
