Frenchies Diner

I went to the restaurant on Dunsmuir st for lunch. It's a really small place, and I always wanted to try it for the poutine and smoked meat sandwiches. I took a seat with my friend. What I didn't like about this place was that the waiter, who was also the owner I think, kept insisting that we order the larger sizes, because the regular smaller size was too little portion. We told him we weren't big eaters, and judging by how we looked (2 petite ladies) you could tell. However, he kept insisting that the regular size poutine was not enough. Reluctantly we agreed and ordered the smoked meat sandwich and large poutine. This place has huge portions, and of course the large poutine was way too much food. The both of us could barely finish half and we just left the rest behind to be thrown away. It was just average poutine anyway. I know this guy just wants to make a little extra money by selling up but it's annoying when a server does that. Next time I'll learn to say no and I won't be going back again.
