Head to Newmarket for a sample of the Louisiana bayou. Orleans Restaurant and Jazz Lounge combines the flavours of New Orleans Cajun Creole with the lively sounds of jazz and blues. A beautiful old farm house dating back to the 1870s, the restaurant has two levels : the main floor is the lounge where every Tuesday is Open MIC night, and Thursdays through Saturday, live bands play the best in jazz and blues music. Upstairs is the restaurant where you can enjoy a casual fine dining experience and sample the best that the kitchen has to offer, including jambalaya, blackened catfish and pan seared halibut. Reservations are recommended on weekends. Vegetarian options are available and special diets and allergies can be accommodated.
