Peter Pan Bistro
373 Queen St W,Business details
Description
Food has been served at the corner of Queen and Peter for over a hundred years. Originally called ‘The Savoy’ the Woo family took it over in 1936 and renamed it the Peter Pan. Mary Jackman and Larry Guest entered the picture in 1976 and have been running it ever since. The long marble bar is original as is the oak flooring, the press tin ceiling and the stained glass windows. The ever popular booths came along in the 1930’s and the gorgeous summer patio in the 1980’s. The paintings featured on the east wall are on loan from the Ron Bloor estate. Ron - a member of the Regina Five - was a friend of the Pan and like so many of our diners frequented ‘The Pan’ many times over many decades.
