The family run business began in 1990 with two brothers, Darrel and Richard Winter in Ajax, Ontario converting an 80 acre dairy farm to a sod company that is known today as Wintermere Sod Growers. Through 20 years of growing and expanding with Durham Region, we now encompass approximately 300 acres of quality lush, green sod.
Located in north Ajax, Wintermere Sod Growers is proud to serve Durham Region and its surrounding areas with only the best quality of our special blend of Kentucky Blue Grass sod. We supply and install sod for many local businesses, charities, municipalities, landscape/nursery centres, golf courses, sports fields, landscape contractors, and the general public.
