I am an experienced Christian counsellor passionate about helping individuals or couples who are seeking in depth emotional healing,
I am support in a marriage or personal crisis or enhancing their couple relationship. insight that will lead you toward heart healing and love restoration. My approach is non-judgmental, compassionate and friendly. I am a skilled professional at the integration of prayer with Christian marriage counselling oor in-depth personal therapy. A christian approach is optional and totally dependent on what approach you are comfortable with. I feel honoured to help my clients on their journey to a stronger authentic identity, healing of emotional wounds and mending of relationship traumas. In couple work I use Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy. Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy is explained in "Hold Me Tight" by Sue Johnson. I provide therapy for students and others with exam or social anxiety, panic attacks and other fears using systematic desensitization and memory reconsolidation techniques. As in cognitive behavioural therapy, I focus on core beliefs. I listen to you and your feelings. People begin to feel less depressed and more sane and confident in themselves. My gentle, non-judgemental approach is ideal for someone needing to consolidate identity or support in a major crisis. With my 40 years of experience, my clients have found that my process is well suited for the achievement of permanent life transformation - a process some call 'Depth Oriented Brief Therapy.' My education includes a BA at University of Toronto and a Masters degree in School and Community Psychology for the University of Calgary. I have training in a variety of modalities including Emotionally-Focused Couple Therapy, Life Transformation with John and Paula Sandford, and Listening Prayer from Leanne Payne and Dr. Ed Smith.
