Sophia Fang graduated from Medical School at Jinan University in Guangzhou, China. She is trained in both Western and Chinese Medicine and has been practicing acupuncture in Toronto since 1999.
At Medical School, she interned with some of the most famous Acupuncture and TCM professors such as Prof. Feng-Po Wei and Prof. Yin Li. These experience helped her gain a solid TCM knowledge and acupuncture skills.
Sophia is enthusiastic in the TCM and Acupuncture industry. With over years of continuous learning and practicing acupuncture, Sophia has gathered many special technical skills that effectively eliminates many health issues. Sophia pays attention to the details of symptoms. She believes any health signal could be a key for the diagnosis. For example, the appearance of tongue color, size, the thickness of coatings, and pulse palpitations etc. As for emotions, the sadness may relate to the Yin-Yang unbalance in the lung, anger may relate to the liver, worries may relate to the stomach and scare feeling could relate to the kidney Yin-Yang unbalance etc. Sophia uses this knowledge to find out the root of health issues. As for treatment, she uses simple, painless acupuncture procedure to quickly control and remove back, shoulder, neck pains, and other problematic areas. The majority of patients have experienced results in a very short span of time, many of them have instant pain relieve.
With 20 years of practicing acupuncture, Sophia Fang helped patients to improve their health. There are many interesting stories. One of the most dramatic stories was actually from Sophia Fang herself. In 2015, Sophia had a severe accident in which she fell down a flight of stairs and was immobilized. She was sent to the Sunnybrook Hospital where doctors diagnosed her with “Central Cord Syndrome”. Her cervical spinal cord 4-5 was damaged. While she was in the rehabilitation center, she insisted on using her own acupuncture procedures and within two months her mobility is normal again. Both doctors and nurses were amazed by such a quick and effective recovery.
