The Studio/Gallery is located near Orillia, Ontario. Dave's works are in oil and pastel and are collected internationally.
He conducts workshops in paste at his studio. Be sure to ask for updates on workshop weekends. He also conducts workshops for art groups at their locations.. Located in the heritage village of Marchmont, west of Orillia in central Ontario, the artist’s home/gallery and studio is ideally located for visitors, and art collectors. Much of Dave’s landscapes, seascapes and still life subjects are derived from the area as well as from his studio in Rose Blanche, Newfoundland. Constructed of logs harvested from the surrounding area in the early 1840’s, his home gallery is one of the few structures of it’s kind on it’s original site in Ontario. Once a thriving farm community, named after the Earl of Marchmont, the village boasted a working grist mill until it’s redevelopment as a home in the past 10 years. “If there was ever a time we need to see the beauty that surrounds us it is now.” Dave Beckett offers scenes of tranquility and beauty and offers a large selection of original paintings, giclees and prints.
