Rob Fournier has always had a passion for business and cars. Growing up with parents who owned numerous business, one of his early memories is playing with ledger sheets in the back office. He always knew that he was meant to own a business.
Fournier started his automotive career in 2000 after working for his parents' business for many years. He wanted to follow his other passion--cars--so he started selling new and used vehicles for Kelowna Chrysler, and then worked for Chrysler, Chevrolet, Dodge, Pontiac and Ford dealers in BC, Alberta and Manitoba. After a few years of working for dealerships, Rob realized that his heart wasn't in selling cars, so he shifted to the performance auto parts industry, working for Essex Distributors and RPI Equipped. He worked with people purchasing OEM and aftermarket suspension, brakes, exhaust, body kits, wheels and tires. His experience in the parts industry taught Rob that he liked helping people to buy cars, but he didn't like the hard sell. And he increasingly realized that there were very few resources for consumers who want information, support and advocacy around buying automobiles. So in 2006 he created Cornerstone Concepts, which was later re-branded and renamed The Car Whisperers Automotive Inc. Cornerstone Concepts and The Car Whisperers focused initially on assisting people to buy cars the cars that were right for them, and later evolved into helping clients to retrieve the value their vehicle had lost after not at fault accidents. This company is focused on empowering people and providing a level of care unheard of in the auto industry.
