The "Chapel" is located at 3664 Highway 21 in Underwood, Ontario between Port Elgin and Kincardine near the shores of beautiful Lake Huron.
We're on the East side of the highway in the North end of town. Underwood is about 22km North of Kincardine and about 16km South of Port Elgin right on Highway 21. Originally the Bruce Township Hall, this historic building was erected in 1871 with an addition built in 1927. As a municipal building, it was used for entertainment, social and political gatherings and township council meetings until 1974 when a new community centre with office was constructed to replace it. The Chapel was operated as a gift studio and fashion shop until 2012 when the previous owners retired. The new owner, Pamela Matson, is re-opening the location on May 6th, 2014 as a garden centre and gift shop. The garden centre will also offer pond plants and supplies. You'll notice greenhouses located towards the rear of the property where you'll be able to browse and purchase an abundance of plants for your home, garden and pond.
