Description
This is garlic at it's best. Harvested when prime and beautiful to look at.. It is hard to believe but it is mild and strong at the same time!! I have also started growing my own garlic now, this year is the "test". May have to keep buying it!! But no matter what garlic is a totally sustainable crop, and only gets better with experience in growing it.
I admit, this is the best type of garlic I have ever made. I love it and make it all the time. Sometimes I make lots and sometimes I just don't have the time for lots, and just make a little..and I love the smell of it cooking in my house. MMMMMM!!! And the health benefits are so huge.
I have been doing this for myself for years. And finally decided that perhaps someone else would like this as well. I have done a search online but could not find anything like what I do. It is the easiest way to use garlic, and no hassle with trying to keep fresh garlic in the fridge to use. This roasted garlic can be used instead of fresh garlic called for in any recipe. 3:1 ratio(3 Cloves =1 tsp or less) But when you crush the garlic, it gets stronger.
Each and every clove is inspected and reinspected for perfection. My standards are very high. Please do NOT put it into the fridge as this causes condensation. But as long as it is kept dry, it will keep for years....literally!! I am pretty sure that you won't have it long enough to worry about that at all!! It is that good. Most people eat it right out of the jar like candy!!
At the moment I am selling the jar with the roasted garlic in it, but I have been contemplating sending the roasted garlic in an airtight, bio-degradable bag, when you mention that you have a jar on hand to hold the contents. This reduces the carbon footprint and I like that idea. It also reduces the shipping costs at least by half I am guessing. So please let me know if you need the jar to start with, and then just refill it afterwards. Shipping with the jar, starts at $13.00, but without the jar, it is $2.20, plus the envelope and tax =$4.08., plus the cost of the garlic you want to order.
My mission statement, is this: When my late husband passed away, it was sad that he left me with nothing. I am hoping this business will take off, and then I should, hopefully, be able to hire people to help me, people that are in the same boat as I was. I have run across quite a few of them, and my heart goes out to them. Hang on, I will get there, hopefully soon than later.
