Born and raised in Estevan, Saskatchewan, the daughter of a contractor, Jennifer's love for homes began early in life. She spent her weekends helping her dad build and renovate houses and, in spite of her young age, became a much sought after advisor in project planning and design. In 1999, Jennifer moved to "the big city" to attend the University of Regina. She pursued her love of writing, studying English and Public Relations, and subsequently built a 15 year career as a consultant in the field of communications and public affairs. During this time, she cultivated a strong reputation as a skilled communicator and negotiator and for her ability to build positive relationships and mobilize resources.
